My Arthur is almost always nicely on the line of being practical and not overly fussy, while still looking very presentable, especially when visiting towns. Despite owning almost every article of clothing in Chapter 2 during my second playthrough, I found myself going back to the same 6-8 shirts, a handful of pants, vests and coats/jackets.

I personally don't like Arthur's jacket. I pretty much always had Arthur in a vest with his original blue shirt. I think the Beaver Hunting Jacket (from Marauder outfit at the trapper) looks great on him though, I view it as an upgraded Gunslinger Jacket.
